Privacy policy

NauticCycle is a business tool, and this site exists to start conversations with vessel owners, agents and waste management companies. The only personal data we ask for is what we need to reply to you.

Who we are

NauticCycle is a joint product of two Latvian companies working from the same office in Rīga: eSYS PRO, SIA (reg. no. 40103805380) and Grandem Group, SIA (reg. no. 40103998042). Together they are the joint controllers of the personal data you send through this site.

If you have a question about your data, or you want to exercise any of the rights below, reach us at:

What we collect

When you send a meeting request through the form on this site, we receive the details you type into it: your name, your company, your email address, your phone number if you choose to give one, the role you selected, and whatever you write in the message field.

Our server also records the IP address the request came from. It is used to rate-limit the form so it cannot be abused to send bulk mail, and it is not stored with your message or used to profile you.

We do not buy contact lists, and we do not collect anything about you when you simply read the pages of this site.

Why we use it

We use what you send for one purpose: to reply to you and to arrange the meeting you asked for. Under the GDPR our grounds are your consent, which you give with the checkbox on the form, together with our legitimate interest in responding to a business enquiry addressed to us and in keeping the form free of abuse.

We will not add you to a newsletter, and we will not use your details for unrelated marketing. If a conversation turns into a working relationship, we will tell you then what else we need and why.

Who sees it

Your message is delivered as an email to the NauticCycle team inboxes. Two service providers are involved in getting it there and in serving you this page:

  • Mailgun, our email provider, which transmits the form submission to us. We use its EU region, so the message is processed on European infrastructure.
  • Our hosting provider, which runs the server this site is served from.

This site also loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests those font files from Google and Google sees your IP address in the process.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires it of us.

How long we keep it

We keep your enquiry for as long as it takes to answer it and to follow up on it, and no longer than 24 months after our last contact with you, unless we have started working together and need to keep it for longer. The rate-limiting record of an IP address is discarded within minutes.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies. There is no analytics script, no advertising pixel and no third-party tracker on it, which is also why you are not being asked to dismiss a cookie banner.

Your rights

Because you are in the EU, or dealing with a team that is, the GDPR gives you the right to ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time, and that does not affect what we did with the data before you withdrew it.

Email, write or call us and we will act on your request. If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Latvian supervisory authority, Datu valsts inspekcija, at dvi.gov.lv.

Changes to this policy

As NauticCycle grows into a full platform, this policy will be updated to match what the product actually does. The date at the top of the page always tells you which version you are reading.
